Hmmm….Spazzy teenage cat. 1-3 is their worst age. I don’t have too much advice except to keep him out of your bedroom when you’re going to sleep. You should keep doing the things you’re doing and he will calm down/get it eventually.
I’m going to try that tonight. The problem is that my apartment is itty-bitty (seriously, it’s two bedrooms connected by a kitchen and a bathroom so small that it doesn’t even have a sink) so the litter box is in a closet in my bedroom. So I have to at least leave the door to my bedroom open for him to get in to use the litter box. ^^;;; But I’m going to keep doing the other stuff and I e-mailed my roommate so she’s on board with the “if the cat bites at you, ignore him until he stops being a dick” plan, so hopefully that should work.

I ended up getting one of the dog clickers for Shade…helps establish that clicks mean treats and good behavior. So far, he’s learned when to sit in a certain chair while I cook, which will be useful once he learns to stay put, lol. That might be a bit more than you were…

No, I’d love to try that. If I could train him to respond to that, that would be excellent. Maybe I’ll work on that this weekend. Thanks!
