So, yeah, uh, no. When a performer stands on stage and asserts that it would be funny if a female audience member were gang raped, and that audience member is so uncomfortable that she has to flee the theater, that would not be rape culture “satire.” That would be actual rape culture. Like, a culture in which rape is tolerated and embraced. The definition of rape culture.

This is totally fucking disgusting and totally validates how I’ve ALWAYS felt really squicked out by Daniel Tosh.

Man, it really sucks I used to think he was coming from a place of intelligent satire, right around the time of his first album when he wasn’t making awful rape jokes, but it’s more clear now that he’s just a lazy asshole who thinks he can get laughs solely off the shock value of his material. Fucking gross
