[MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT: GAME OF THRONES]

I cannot stop watching the last scene from Sunday night’s Game of Thrones. This season really is all about the women, and Daenerys and her rise to power are force to be reckoned with. I love how she uses other peoples’ expectations of her to gain the upper hand here. She doesn’t use her sexuality, she doesn’t have to seduce anyone. These guys just assume she’s stupid and incompetent because she’s a woman who happens to be pretty. She doesn’t bother correcting them and uses their assumption to her advantage, because in the end, she’s smarter than all of them and that’s what wins her the Unsullied. It’s not her “feminine wiles” that does the trick, it’s her intellect. She’s brilliant! I haven’t read the books, so please don’t spoil anything for me, but I am so excited to see where her character journey takes her because if this scene is just *foreshadowing*, then I really can’t wait to see what she does next. And if you haven’t watched Game of Thrones yet, you’re really missing out. The female characters haven’t always been the strongest aspect of the show, but this season they’re really coming into their own.
